As a licensed clinical social worker, Cathy Rosewell Jonas brings four decades of experience helping others. She has worked for a variety of non-profit mental health agencies and hospital settings, becoming a licensed therapist in 2004, and started a private counseling and coaching practice in 2014 where she also offered energy healing to interested clients. Since then she’s attended several trainings, expanding her offerings of healing modalities including:

More about Cathy’s background:

Along with her professional development and learning enhanced ways to help others in their healing, Cathy has been on her own personal and spiritual growth path, ignited by a powerful and life changing psychedelic experience on her eighteenth birthday, described in her first book Bringing Home the Mountain: Finding the Teacher Within (2010). Cathy has attended numerous personal growth and meditation retreats, and traveled solo to India three times as part of her spiritual quest to experience deeper awakenings, and better understand her heart and mind. She became an ordained minister through the Universal Life Church in 2014, as a way to start offering alternative modalities of healing, stretching beyond the medical model of her professional mental health training, and started offering energy healing sessions using crystals, vibrational tuning forks, and crystal singing bowls. In 2015 Cathy started exploring the healing benefits of plant medicine, particularly the amazonian plant medicine, Ayahuasca. Her ayahuasca journeys in 2015, 2017, 2019 (and 2024) continued to lead her deeper into herself and her own trauma healing, which is described in her second book, Metamorphosis of an Awakened Heart-With Teachings from Mother Ayahuasca (2021). Since 2021, Cathy’s energy healing has evolved to her singing and toning sacred healing songs “Earthsongs” and teaching others how to activate their voice. Cathy shares how the Earthsongs were a spontaneous gift from psilocybin and continue to evolve, becoming more complex in a language she doesn’t know - like she is tuned into a mysterious shamanic channel. Cathy is honored to share these healing songs to those interested.

Adding to her healing toolbox, Cathy completed a certification in Psychedelic Assisted Therapy. This first entailed attending a year-long 150 hour certification course through the IPI (Integrative Psychiatry Institute) in Boulder, graduating in May 2022. Cathy’s main interest for attending the psychedelic assisted therapies program was to become well-prepared in providing psilocybin healing in Eugene, Oregon. In addition to receiving training in psilocybin assisted psychotherapy, the course also provided training and certification in ketamine assisted psychotherapy (KAP), as well as an introduction to providing MDMA in therapeutic settings. Learning about the swift healing benefits of ketamine for treatment of a variety of issues such as depression, anxiety, and PTSD, Cathy reached out to coordinate with a medical provider who offered Ketamine therapy. Eventually this inspired the creation of Eugene Psychedelic Integrative Center (EPIC Healing Eugene). From December 2021 - August 2022, Cathy provided around 200 hours of ketamine assisted psychotherapy and supportive psychedelic integrative services to a variety of clients, including over 75 two-hour+ ketamine assisted psychotherapy sessions.

In June 2022 Cathy completed the 8-week Modern Spirit River Course (an integrative approach to psychedelic therapies and sacred plant medicine) by Dr. Joe Tafur (author of The Fellowship of the River). Cathy continued her education on group therapy models specific to ketamine and other psychedelics. In July 2022, Cathy completed 4 weeks of the Roots to Thrive Program, where she learned some additional strategies for healing in a group setting using ketamine and other healing modalities. In August 2022, Cathy renewed her focus and increased her Eugene Neurofeedback practice, witnessing how this modality can be used as a preparation and integration tool for psychedelic healing. In October 2022, Cathy completed an additional IPI (Integrative Psychiatry Institute) module series and MAPS Approved Introductory MDMA-Assisted Therapy Certificate, bringing her psychedelic assisted therapy training hours to 200. In February-March 2023, Cathy completed an accelerated Psilocybin Assisted Training program through IPI, bringing her total psychedelic assisted training hours to over 300. Cathy passed her Oregon Psilocybin Services state exam in 2023 and is a licensed facilitator. EPIC Healing Eugene was officially approved as the Oregon’s and the Nation’s First licensed "service center" on May 5th, 2023, with Cathy receiving the first license of its kind. EPIC Healing Eugene, which also has an outdoor space, is located in Eugene, Oregon, serving its first official clients on June 23rd, 2023. As EPIC / Radiant Heart’s lead facilitators and trauma specialist, Cathy is now one of the most trained and experienced licensed psilocybin guides in the state of Oregon, having personally facilitated over 150 psilocybin journeys, and is a regular participant in EPIC / Radiant Heart’s on-going Preparation, Integration, and Personal Growth Groups.
