Nina Wyngethrin, BA, MEd
Licensed Facilitator
Acceptance, warmth, generosity, patience, and celebration are hallmarks of my compassionate approach to facilitation.
I approach facilitation with acceptance, warmth, generosity, patience, and celebration - all skills I’ve developed through a career in special education and community service and through my lived experience as a gentle, introverted, queer woman.
Each of us have visible and invisible differences that may impact our sense of self, and belonging. I honor and celebrate the strengths that often go unrecognized in the dominant culture and hold space to recognize and value our unique selves, with all of our quirks and learned survival strategies.
My goal is to support you in developing an intention and setting that will allow you to settle into the journey, explore your hopes and fears, gain new insights, shift perspective, and release thoughts and feelings that no longer serve you.
A psilocybin experience can open you up and place you in a vulnerable state of being; therefore, finding the facilitator that you trust is a critical part of creating the set and setting for the best outcomes of your psilocybin experience.
I show up as my authentic self, with an open heart; I listen with curiosity, and know that trust is earned. I hold space gently and give you autonomy and spaciousness to allow your experience to unfold. The delicate process of self-discovery and acceptance begins when you sign up for a session and continues through the integration of the lessons and insights after your psilocybin experience; I will be right there with you.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Women's Studies from San Francisco State University and a Master of Special Education from the University of Hawaii. I am a graduate of the Subtle Winds Psilocybin Facilitation Training Program (2023) and was a Lead Educator for the Subtle Winds training program in 2024. I hold an Oregon psilocybin facilitator license and service worker permit.
Nina has both her facilitator license and OHA/OPS Work Permit

As a 57-year old woman who had never taken a non-prescription drug, let alone a psychedelic, I was unsure about taking psilocybin. I had watched documentaries, read the studies, and followed the news through the legalization journey. I knew I wanted to free myself of childhood trauma. I knew I was feeling stuck in healing. I just didn’t know if I could do it. I signed up anyway.
Once I met Nina in the preparation session, I started to relax. She was well-prepared, supportive and thoughtful. I shared my concerns, my prior unwillingness to lose control and my many questions about psilocybin. She provided information, but more importantly, gave me the space and freedom to make the choices right for me.
The same was true in the session itself. Nina was present in the most supportive and unobtrusive way possible. She was calm, reassuring and responsive regardless of my actions or words. I did, in fact, relinquish control and let the experience unfold because I trusted her to care and protect me through the experience.
After the conclusion of my “trip”, Nina gave me space to immediately process what I had experienced. She was patient, accepting and caring as I described one of the most incredible experiences of my life.
The integration sessions were critically important for me. It gave me a neutral space to explore what I had experienced. It occurs to me that a huge part of what I value about Nina’s facilitation is her maturity, her generosity and her grounded presence.
I would recommend psilocybin for those who would like a therapeutic approach to addressing trauma, seeing the possibilities that exist and letting go of limitations. For me, that experience was made possible by choosing a knowledgeable and experienced facilitator in Nina.

Open. Caring. Kind. Safe. Helpful. Knowledgeable. Insightful. Present.
These were some of the qualities I was looking for when selecting my facilitator. Nina is all of that and more.
This was my 1st psilocybin experience taken with a "stranger." I felt like I was putting myself in a vulnerable situation and wanted to find someone I could connect with. From the initial phone call, throughout the experience to the follow up call, Nina helped me feel at ease at all times. I felt myself in good hands and could comfortably let go and ride the life changing journey knowing she had my back.
